Dr. Jo Weir

Dr Jo Weir has been a GP for over 15 years and has vast experience working both abroad and in the UK.  Over the last 5 years she has been working in the Emergency Department and has an ability to make quick, safe decisions.  She has been doing regular suturing and nerve block injections.  She has also continued part time GP work allowing her to get to know her patient base and offer a personal consistent approach to her work. In the past, she travelled around the world for some time working for Aid organisations. She started working in aesthetics medicine in 2021 having been trained by the Aesthetic Training Academy (ATA) and found reward in the happiness people gained from their treatments.  Having also done an anatomy degree, and taking great interest in sports personally, she is delighted to offer joint injections.  She is delighted to be working alongside sports therapists to offer further sports injuries services .  Both her qualifications for minor surgery and joint injections were attained from Medical Skills (a training group approved by the Royal College of General Practice).

Cara Brooks

Cara Brooks obtained her Nursing degree in 2005 from the Robert Gordon University. She then completed a PGdip in Advanced Professional Practice in 2022 through University Of The Highlands and Islands. In 2012 she qualified as a non-medical prescriber. She has more than 15 years of nursing experience and 13 years working in advanced nursing practice, and is able to work under pressure and respond to a variety of clinical situations. Cara initially specialised in elderly medicine in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and then went on to support doctors over night with the Hospital-at-Night team. She has been working in a GP Practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioners dealing with unscheduled care and taking a lead role in palliative care and care of those over 65. In 2021 she completed Foundations of Botulinum Treatments in Aesthetics with Dr Abbas from Hourglass Aesthetics giving her a great base to build her own practice. She has also completed her Foundation Course in Foundation Fillers. 

In addition to this, she has undertaken 1-1 training with Medical Aesthetics Training Academy (MATA) in advanced anti-wrinkle treatments, including those for headaches, teeth grinding and excess under arm sweating (hyperhidrosis).
