Service Description
Aqualyx is deoxycholic acid which emulsifies fat cells which are then drained out of the body by the lymph system and the liver. This is an injectable treatment into stubborn pockets of fat such as the chin, abdomen, back, legs and arms. The treatment is quite subjective but typically people require 2-4 courses per area, 4 weeks apart. Its main use is to tackle excess fat in stubborn areas which won’t budge despite a healthy lifestyle and diet. It is suitable for men and woman between the ages of 18-60 years. It is an injectable treatment which can cause a little discomfort , however, at Vida Medical and Aesthetics we use local anaesthetic to minimise discomfort. Some patients will experience a warm sensation in the treated area and may experience swelling, bruising and tenderness. Fewer patients will experience some redness, numbness, itching and a burning sensation. There is usually 6-9 days of swelling and therefore some social down time. It is advised to drink at least 2 litres of water before the treatment and for some weeks afterwards for best results. Most patients typically see results between 8-10 weeks. Cancellation Policy
A £30 booking fee is required for all appointments. This fee is deducted from the total treatment cost. Ensure your contact details, especially your email, are correct, as most communication will be via email. Booking fees can be applied to treatment on the day. If you need to reschedule, you may transfer the fee to a new date, please provide 48 hours notice. If you need to cancel or reschedule, use the link in your confirmation email or direct message us if booked via social media. The booking fee is retained for cancellations. LATENESS If you're over 15 minutes late, your appointment may be cancelled.please try and give as much notice as possible. NEW PATIENTS Treatments are at Jo and Cara’s discretion. If unsuitable for treatment, the booking fee is retained. We recommend booking a no obligation consultation first. New patients with health conditions, allergies, or medications should book a consultation before treatment. BOTOX REVIEW APPOINTMENTS Reviews are done 2-3 weeks after treatment, no later than 4 weeks. Missed reviews beyond 4 weeks will incur a charge. DISABILITY ACCESS The clinic is on street level and is accessible for wheel chairs. NO SHOWS If you miss an appointment without notice, future bookings must be made via email.
