ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS
Treatments start from £150

This is an injectable treatment which is used to relax the muscles of the face and neck which results in easing and softening the appearance of existing fine lines and helps to prevent the formation of expression lines.
These treatments use botulinum toxin which block the nerves transmitters to the muscles essentially freezing the muscles enhancing a fresher look. The results take maximal affect at two weeks and usually last 3-4 months depending on each individual.
Botulinum toxin can be used cosmetically for frown, crows feet around the eyes, forehead lines, nasal creases, smokers lines around the lips, a dimpled chin, de-bulking of the jawline and prominent neck muscles (platysma).
It can also be used for medical purposes such as sweating to excess (hyperhidrosis), treatment of headaches, reduction of teeth grinding.
B12 INJECTIONS

Feeling exhausted, washed out, in need of a wee boost?
Vitamin B12 is a form of iron present in our bodies, it is a essential compound that we get from animal-based food products. It is essential to maintain normal functioning of the brain, nervous system and the process involved in producing red blood cells. Sub-optimal levels of B12 lead to tiredness, fatigue, poor memory, "brain fog" and reduced mental function. B12 is found in oral vitamin supplements as well as meat, poultry, eggs and milk. Other benefits include better sleep, increased metabolic rate as well as benefits for mental health. It is also very effective at improving skin, hair and nail condition. By administering vitamin B12 by intramuscular injection (IM) directly into the deltoid muscle at the top of the arm we dramatically increase the useable amount available to the cells in our body. This is the benefit of the IM route. There is no downside to this vitamin, your body will use what it needs and excrete the rest.
DERMAL FILLERS

We use premium hyaluronic acid fillers which are injected into areas to add volume or reduce wrinkles. With age, collagen, hyaluronic acid and fat diminishes from our faces and our skin becomes looser and more wrinkled. Dermal fillers add back volume to the face and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Most commonly dermal fillers are used in the lips, cheeks and chin and can be used to smooth lines, for example the lines between the nose and mouth and mouth and chin (nasolabial and marionette lines).
Dermal fillers contain local anaesthetic already but at Vida Medical and Aesthetics Ltd we also offer topical anaesthetic cream and if required, dental blocks which numb certain areas of the face. We aim to offer optimal comfort whilst undergoing treatments.
Dermal fillers last anything between 6-18 months depending on how fast your body reabsorbs the hyaluronic acid, the area treated and the type of product used.
We charge depending on the treatment and area but usually per millilitre of dermal filler used. Each individual will have a personalised plan according to their requirements.

CORTICOSTEROID JOINT INJECTIONS
Treatments start from £150
These are essentially anti-inflammatory medicines which can be used to treat a range of conditions, primarily joint pain and arthritis. Vida Medical and Aesthetics Ltd will offer intra-articular (joint) injections following a consultation or a referral from an allied health professional. Usually joint injections take a few days to take effect however some work faster than this. They usually last between 2-4 months and it is not recommended to get the same joint injected more than three times in one year.

AQUALYX FAT DISSOLVING INJECTIONS
Treatments start from £100
Aqualyx is deoxycholic acid which emulsifies fat cells which are then drained out of the body by the lymph system and the liver. This is an injectable treatment into stubborn pockets of fat such as the chin, abdomen, back, legs and arms.
The treatment is quite subjective but typically people require 2-4 courses per area, 4 weeks apart. Its main use is to tackle excess fat in stubborn areas which won’t budge despite a healthy lifestyle and diet. It is suitable for men and woman between the ages of 18-60 years.
It is an injectable treatment which can cause a little discomfort , however, at Vida Medical and Aesthetics we use local anaesthetic to minimise discomfort. Some patients will experience a warm sensation in the treated area and may experience swelling, bruising and tenderness. Fewer patients will experience some redness, numbness, itching and a burning sensation. There is usually 6-9 days of swelling and therefore some social down time. It is advised to drink at least 2 litres of water before the treatment and for some weeks afterwards for best results.
Most patients typically see results between 8-10 weeks.

UNDER ARM SWEATING (Hyperhidrosis)

We treat excessive underarm sweating by injecting small carefully controlled doses to the axilla, to block the action of the nerves which activate the sweat glands. This treatment usually works well and you notice a difference within 4 weeks, the effect lasts approximately 3-6 months, although some patients may continue to benefit for 12 months. The treatment can be repeated.
PROFHILO®

The first of its kind, Profhilo® is a revolutionary 'beneath the skin' hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment, made with the patented NAHYCO® technology. This results in a unique hyaluronic acid injectable gel, which has a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal cells. CONSULTATIONS
For both anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers it is important to have a consultation prior to the treatment so it can be tailored to you. Each consultation will be free with no obligation to go ahead with treatment. It is useful to have a period to properly consider your treatment before going ahead. This approach gives patients time to achieve the look they are hoping for and ensures the best results.
FOLLOW-UP
Each client will be given written aftercare advice. We ask all clients to either attend or have an appointment via video call 2 weeks following treatment to ensure clients are happy with their results.
MINOR SURGERY

Minor surgery procedures are those which are minimally invasive. These procedures are relatively painless and fairly quick generally taking 20-30 minutes. Most minor surgery involves the removal or lumps, bumps and skin lesions using local anaesthetic to the numb the area. Once the area is removed the wound will be closed by a few stiches which will be removed at a time specified by your doctor. Vida Medical and Aesthetics Ltd will work together the Albyn private health care and all specimens will be sent to the pathology laboratory for onward examination and diagnosis.
